07.06.2010 - RESULTS OF IV INTERNATIONAL SCIENTIFIC AND TECHNICAL CONFERENCE

The traditional IV International scientific and technical conference of young specialists of aviation engine-building industry titled “The youth in aviation industry: new solutions and advanced technologies” was held in «Horizont» resort hotel (Alushta, Crimea). The conference was devoted to centenary of domestic aircraft-building industry. It was organized under the auspices of the youth policy pursued by Motor Sich PJSC. Assistance and support was rendered by the Ministry of Education of Ukraine, National Academy of Sciences of Ukraine, ZNTU, “KhAI” National Aerospace University named after Ye.N.Zhukovsky, Association of Aero Engines Manufacturers (ASSAD, Russia, Moscow) and SE ZMDB Ivchenko-Progress.
140 participants and guests represented different regions of Ukraine and Russia, including aircraft building enterprises from Kazan and Perm (Russia), which participated in this conference for the first time.
All young scientists and practitioners of domestic aircraft-building industry have made reports, which were listened to with great interest and discussed. Reports of the young aircraft-building specialists were positively evaluated in the concluding speech of ASSAD’s President, Doctor of Engineering Science, professor Victor Chuiko (Moscow):

Scientific level of the presented reports was significantly higher compared to the previous conference. In fact, the most daring discoveries are made by young people. They not just designate problems, but offer bold ways for their solution as well. Therefore, the future of aircraft-building industry has hopeful prospects.

Alexander Kolodezny, Assistant of the President of Motor Sich PJSC, Candidate of Engineering Science continued:

It is pleasant to notice how geography of the conference participants is expanding from year to year. Even prospective plans are doomed to failure, if they do not involve young people. Our young people are not passive, as it seems to some people. They are active, seeking, creative. They just should be provided with conditions for complete self-realization of their creative potential. The present conference is one of the best ways possible for this purpose.

Ruslan Pidorich , Head of the youth affairs department of Motor Sich PJSC, has stated:

We are pleased with the results of this conference. But we are not used to fix at the achieved results. We are already planning to arrange the fifth youth conference, which will be the anniversary one. Except for representatives from Ukraine and Russia, we are planning to invite guests from Iran, India, China… So, the scope of work is great. And it is pleasant as well.

And what are opinions of the conference participants? Here are just some remarks. Vladimir Zaika , head of the young specialists of Volchansk Aggregate Plant, Volchansk (Ukraine):

I am here for the first time. The conference was held at the highest level. I have got great experience here. I was pleasantly surprised with active discussion of reports. I have also enjoyed various recreation and entertainment activities.

Artem Khamidullin represented Federal State Unitary Enterprise “Central Institute of Aviation Motors named after P.I. Baranov”, Moscow. He has visited the conference for the first time and has got Diploma of the first degree:

I was pleasantly surprised that my work appeared among the winners. I have realized that it was estimated by highly-qualified specialists. They have made very interesting remarks. I reckon that the decision of expert commission is an advance on my prospective work. It will give me an additional impetus in the development of new designs. I would like to notice high level of the conference. I am going to take part in it next year. I will invite my workmates for the conference as well.

Artem’s opinion about the conference was supported by other participants of the youth forum. It is quite natural. The conference was preceded by diligent preparatory work, which lasted for almost a year period. It was invisible for the participants. But everybody saw and highly estimated the result.
The expert commission has distinguished 15 reports dividing them into three best «fives»: the first group has got diplomas of 1st degree, the second - diplomas of 2nd degree and the third – diplomas of the 3rd degree. 30 young scientists and engineers have got certificates of honour for high scientific and technical level of their reports. Besides, the following recipients of diplomas of 1st degree have got money reward: Yury I.Torba, SE ZMDB Ivchenko-Progress, Zaporozhye, Ukraine; Olga Chukhry, Kazan Engine-building Production Association JSC, Kazan, Russia; Stepan Stadnik, Motor Sich PJSC, Zaporozhye, Ukraine; Artem Khamidullin, Federal State Unitary Enterprise “Central Institute of Aviation Motors named after P.I. Baranov”, Moscow, Russia; Olga Babenko, Zaporozhye National Technical University, Zaporozhye, Ukraine.
