MAKS-2007 Air Show
Within the framework of celebration of the 100th anniversary of Motor Sich JSC foundation, the company exposed a number of their products at the static display: AI-450, AI-450-MC, BK-1500C, TV3-117VMA-SBM1V, D-436-148 aeroengines and M-11, ASh-62IR, RD-500K, AI-20 life-sized engine models, as well as consumer goods, parts that demonstrated the technologies used at Motor Sich JSC, and full-scale replicas of ground-operated aeroderivatives. A contract with IFK JSC for supply of 74 propulsion engines D-436-148 and auxiliary engines AI-450-MS for An-148 planes has been signed at the exhibition.
At the Air Show, Motor Sich JSC held a press conference dedicated to the company’s 100th anniversary. The Chairman of Board of Directors of Motor Sich JSC Mr V. Boguslaev delivered his speech at the event.
This year, the exhibition line-up included 543 Russian participants and 243 foreign ones. More than 200 air vehicles by leading world aircraft and missile manufacturers were on static display in the exhibition area that exceeded 40.000 sq. m., with Sukhoy, MiG, Tupolev, etc. world-famous battle aircraft, general aviation aircraft, helicopters, unmanned aerial vehicles (UAV), anti-aircraft and anti-missile defence systems, and spacecraft among them.
The MAKS-2007 flight display was an impressive and spectacular show. The best pilots from Russia, the USA, and France, as well as Russian Vitiaz, Strizhy, and Patrol de France piloting groups showed their art of advanced aerobatics over the airfield.
