The VK-2500 engines are designed to power Mil Мi-28H, Kamov Kа-52 and В-2 combat helicopters as well as for upgrading Mi-17, Mi-24, Mi-28, Ka-32, Ka-50, Ka-50-2 helicopters. The VK-2500 is an advanced version of widely known TV3-117VMA turboshaft. It is among the world best turboshafts as regards the fuel efficiency and weight characteristics.
Longstanding experience of manufacture and operation of the baseline engine together with the use of up-to-date control system made it possible to enhance the performance and bring about high reliability and considerable service life of the engine.
