D-136 TURBOSHAFT ENGINE 1982 is the year of commencing the quantity production of the world most powerful turboshaft D-136, developed by Progress ZMKB around D-36 engine. The engine features 11400 hp at takeoff, SFC equals to 0.194 kg/kgf·h. The engine is designed to power the Мi-26 and Mi-26T helicopters still unsurpassed in the load-carrying capacity, fuel consumption per ton-km of conveyed cargo, 'cost-efficiency' criterion. The engine production has been certified by the Aviation Register of Interstate Aviation Committee (АR IAC) and SDATU and the quality system with respect to manufacture, overhaul and maintenance has been certified by the BVQI transnational company.
