Working with youth

In 2009, Motor Sich JSC youth policy was approved. The policy provides opportunity for all the young employees of up to 35 years old to participate in it, with no gender, profession, and position taken into consideration.
In 2009, within the youth policy:

  • 130 young employees participated in the 3rd ‘Youth in aviation: new solutions and prospective technologies’ scientific and technical conference, with 78 of them being from Motor Sich JSC.
  • 199 young workers participated in the workmanship competition, with 67 participants rewarded for becoming winners and 8 ones granted higher qualification category;
  • Youth organization activists participated in the 1st Ukrainian Forum of Aviation Youth held in Kiev;
  • Forum dedicated to 5th anniversary of youth organization of Volochisk Machinery Plant, a Motor Sich JSC affiliation, was held at that plant, with representatives of aviation industry companies participating;
  • To keep up the territory condition, land improvement was carried out in Meridian tourist base and Mayak health improvement centre. Therein, sport competitions and cultural events were held during the summer season on a regular basis, with 1400 young Motor Sich JSC employees participating;
  • Military and sport competitions were held on the basis of militia school of Municipal Administration of the Ministry of Home Affairs within the conscript training programme, with conscripts from Motor Sich JSC employees participating;


Based on the results of internal Motor Sich JSC emulation in labour, participants for the 7th Conscript 2009 regional military and sport competition were selected, with the Motor Sich JSC conscript team ranking second among employee teams from other companies:

  • Motor Sich JSC maintained relations with former Motor Sich JSC employees conscripted to Military Forces of Ukraine: 52 service men were congratulated on the occasion of the Day of Military Forces of Ukraine. Young employees who completed their military services and came back to Motor Sich JSC were rewarded additionally by order of Motor Sich JSC Administration;
  • A guided tour was held around Motor Sich JSC premises for 101 employees newly accepted for employment;
  • 20 young employees were trained at Young Leaded School;
  • The Best Hostel Room competition was held among young Motor Sich JSC employees, with winner rooms determined, as well as rooms in unsatisfactory conditions and troublemakers who infringe standards of communal conduct;
  • Based on the results of regional Talented Youth competition held by Zaporozhye regional administration of youth and sport affairs, youth theatre of Motor Sich JSC Design Office was awarded a letter on commendation;
  • Two guided tours were arranged for the activists of the Motor Sich JSC youth organization, with one to the city of Odessa to attend Yumorina 2009 laughter festival and another to the city of Alushta, the Crimea to Gorizont holiday hotel;


The results of activities of youth organizations at company subdivisions were summed up quarterly, with letters of commendation and rewards awarded to :

  • 30 young workers
  • 20 young foremen
  • 25 young engineers.
